Thanks, Trevor. That's reassuring. Presumably I can import my bookmarks from Firefox? _________________ Anita

Sorry, I didn't explain properly! Bookmark folders in the sidebar, as complained about here and here. |
Ah, the sidebar.
I just use the dropdown bookmarks and they look untouched:

You get a folder in the book bar at the top named Imported bookmarks or somesuch.
, I've just lost my bookmark toolbar when I was checking. |

I couldn't manage without the bookmarks toolbar. It's so much quicker than the dropdown, but then I do have hundreds of bookmarks in multiple folder levels. _________________ Anita

I thought about Chrome but then I wondered how it deals with Adblockers.
Chrome is Google and they thrive on advertising. Would they override Adblock+ and/or uBlock for example.
IE I don't like and Opera is too basic.
I'm waiting for FF57 to be released, not upgrade but watch for the change from addons to web extensions. _________________ DashCam:

Well, I use Adblock (Not Adblock+) and that works OK for me. No ads from Google as far as I can see. |

I'm using Adblock+ on Chrome which is fine. I like Ff and used it for years but switched to Chrome because Ff seems to be getting slower and slower. _________________ Galaxy Note 4 / TomTom GO : CamerAlert : CoPilot |

I'm now on Firefox 57 Quantum and AdBlock Plus is in there as a valid extension.
This new version does seem faster so you may want to give it another try. |

I've been running it for a few days now, it is fast.
Most of my add-ons have been converted:
AdBlock+
Privacy Badger
Norton Security is now Norton Web Safe
LastPass
I've used a .css script to move the tabs to the bottom so that add-on isn't needed.
Colorful tabs would be nice but I'm using a theme instead.

We see you’re using an ad-blocker. We’re fine with that and won’t stop you visiting the site.
Have you considered making a donation towards website running costs?. Or you could disable your ad-blocker for this site. We think you’ll find our adverts are not overbearing!
