Silly question but is 'Zoom automatically' turned on in the settings? |

Yes it’s switched on in settings but still no auto zoom. Only very high level view available but at least that’s better than a picture of the UK.
Not zooming in to the level it used to. Using standard type view, not hybrid or satellite.
Hope this helps. |

Looking further at hybrid or satellite view - it defaults to a view from what appears to be at around 10000 - 15000ft.
I can then zoom in manually to get the view I want.
Hope this helps. |

Updated to CA version 2.0.2 (915 - 170720)
IOS 11.0.1
Apple iPhone 5S
In settings, under restrictions, Location Services set to "Don't allow changes"
Two issues noted:
Updated App, new version opened but went into a refresh death spasm. Rapid updating of screen, a dialog flashing on and off (too quick to read), screen rapidly flicking between speed showing and not; submit camera icon flashing due to rapid screen refresh; not able to select any options in the app. App was unresponsive, apart from the screen refreshing spasm.
Eventually worked out that Location Services was set to "Don't allow changes". Changed to "Allow Changes", ran app again, selected "Always" and app now opens without any problems. Have yet to try it while driving.
Splash Screen
Not formatted correctly for Portrait screen on 5S. Right hand edge is cut off. |

I’m still running iOS 10.3.3 on my iPhone SE, and it seems that there is a problem on the older iOS as well.
The new version of the app does not run in the background when running Google maps, but is working as a stand alone app. However I don’t see any problems with the Autozoom, which appears to work as it should.
I’ve only used it for a very short time, so I haven’t seen any other problems so far.

I'm using ios11.01 on iPhone 6s.
I use Cameralert + Waze with Waze on top.
CA doesn't work behind Waze but seems to work fine when on top (I don't use map setting only the list of cameras). Waze can work behind CA but obviously without a visible map.
I'm not sure if CA should appear in Background App Refresh page under ios Settings but it is not there at all, even with the option of toggling on/ off.
Hope this helps. |

I've got the latest CA version but still not upgraded to ios11. Is it safe to do so yet or do I hold off until all these glitches are ironed out? |

That's my opinion too. Rightly or wrongly, I'm sitting back and allow others to report their findings but my joining the testing won't help matters. |

I know they’ll sort it, but by god the alternatives are useless.
Btw I can confirm it didn’t work in background for me today. Went usual route past cameras and no notification when in background |

I think the background issue is the most important. Whether one uses maps or lists of cameras seems secondary. Having a nav app open on top and forgetting CA is not working in the background might be an expensive mistake... |

I'm very pleased to have a version we can use with iOS 11 and thanks for all the hard work so far.
CamerAlert is essential to me due to the restricted functionality of current TomTom PND.
However, could anyone confirm that after a phone call audible alerts are still lost as per the previous version or is it just me? Using iPhone 6 with iOS 11.0.1
Obviously I can exit the app and they will then be back again but it would be nice to avoid the temptation to touch the phone whilst driving. |
