Tomtom and the USA

I am currently using Tomtom 3 and the great britian navigator map.
I am off on holiday to the USA so i have got the tomtom USA 5 CD Map set and have loaded the maps on to my memory card, but tomtom says no other maps are installed.
Do I need to un-install tomtom 3 and install the US version from the map set ?

Fozzer, The USA version of TTN is currently version 2, and as you have found out the maps will not work on TTN3. There is a way of getting both TTN2 and TTN3 to run on the same PDA, but I believe it needs a registry hack.

For me, I would unistall TTN3 before going to the USA, and install TTN2 which came with the USA CD.

Yep
that is what i was thinkinbg of doing. Just deleting TT3 installing TT off the CD set just for the duration of our holiday.
