After spending a lot of money physically stopping parking on or near a hump back bridge, on Raikes Ln, Bolton, because it was unsafe for pedestrians, look what the safety partnership thinks is ok. http://s1035.photobucket.com/user/i-dudson/library/Camera%20Van _________________ HUAWEI P30 Pro (new edition) with Speedtrap Alert & alcatel1 for SatNav

How recent is the photo. That mobile site is not in the database. You can recognise the site in Streetview. |

It's mobile 20963 checking speed of vehicles southbound on the A666 (St Peters Way) below the bridge and the photo was taken 2/8/2017 _________________ HUAWEI P30 Pro (new edition) with Speedtrap Alert & alcatel1 for SatNav

Ah. OK. I wrongly assumed that it was checking the E/W traffic on the lane.
That's a 'seen again' then. |

Over the years, there has been quite a lot of comment over why a speed camera van can park where others would get a ticket. The answer, it seems, is that they are exempt, or rather, they are permitted to park pretty much anywhere in pursuance of their task of catching speeders. This one is actually parked right on top of hatch markings which obviously have no other purpose than to deter anybody from stopping on them - you can see them on Streetview and on Duddy's photo! Maybe the hatching is to prevent anybody occupying the camera van's space!!! _________________ Dennis
