You obviously didn't read the thread as this was posted, amonst others on the previous page to your last post that says you must leave the SD card in the car. wartklin wrote: | M8TJT wrote: | Ot might also be worth while emboldening the last para, as it seems that some people may not realise that you have to leave the SD in in the device. |
Yes it is important that you create a folder nameley "PerosnalPOI"as this is the only folder you should have on the SD card and the gpx files are loaded into this folder. |
I agree with Kremmen for you to have a go at getting the voices to work though. That would be a good result. |

Oh, that sounds a bit more complicated and I've got no idea what SOX.exe is or what it does :-)
Will do a search during the Christmas break to see if I can figure this one out. |

SOX.exe is a small program that POILoader uses to convert .WAV files into something the Garmin can use.
There's loads of expertise here. If you are up for the challenge after the hol, then come back and I'm sure that Kremmen (the real expert) will hold your hand on how to do it. |

All joking apart, getting the wav files to work with sox and into the gpi file is well worth the effort.
It's a one off file move into the POILoader folder once you have the sox.exe
It's the icing on the cake.
There are already loads of posts here with sox explanations including a few I've posted with pictures. _________________ DashCam:

@ticitybo
Can you set up proximity distances, or is it set by the device?
@Kremmen
The problem with posts about SOX.EXE is that there is so much chaff to sort the wheat from, just a few pearls of wisdom scattered amongst the dross including confusion as to which folder it should go in. |

My problem at the moment is that I'd like to include the existing graphic of the POILoader folder with the sox shown at the end, but, I'm away from the PC and trying to be clever on a phone is impossible.
Isn't there that Noddy guide somewhere ? _________________ DashCam:

Hi All,
I have a new W213 E-Class with Command version NTG5E and cannot get any of these methods to work.
Some won't work as the options do not appear anyway.
Am I the only one with this problem, or has someone managed to get it to work on these variants?
I have really missed my PGPSW files, having a TomTom Go5000 too and there is no working solution for that either
I guess manufacturers just want to corner the market and continually rip us off.
Thanks |

Didn’t realise that with the system that is on the car I don’t need to import the speed camera data base and this is where I’ve been going wrong.
I simply copy the .gpi files (UK and EU) to the POI folder on the Garmin Map Pilot Europe 2016 SD Card and the system automatically reads the information and displays the camera as and when I approach one, it even plays a “bong” alert. |
I've come to the conclusion I'm downloading the wrong files (.GPX) instead of .gpi. What SatNav system did you select from the download option? |

That is what I've just downloaded but it does not contain any .gpi files only .gpx. How did you get them to change to .gpi files? |
