Hi
I have recently purchased the TOM TOM GO 520 Wi-Fi, I have contacted customer service at TOM TOM to ask how to apply additional poi files, they advised my to use the link https://mydrive.tomtom.com, I have added the latest speed camera .OV2 file to my places which are now showing on my device located in places icon. when I click on the file it shows all the address of the camera site locations, how do I attach them to show on the map notifying me when I\\\'m near a camera site / location. If you have any guidance please advise me as i'm ready to return the device back to TOM TOM |

You can't. But TT won't tell you that. None of the latest TomToms can use our database to warn, only navigate to, which is about as useful as tits on a fish.
You should have asked before buying.
Garmins can use our database and warn and Kremmen's program makes them even better. |

The new TomToms do indeed support the adding of third party POIs.
BUT only as POIs which you can navigate to, like navigating to a hotel or supermarket or restaurant.
They do NOT support third party POIs in the manner which is needed for the camera alerts.
TomTom accepted users' complaints that they wanted to use their own POIs. It was argued that we need to be able to install our customers locations for visits. The argument that could NOT succeed was PGPSW Speed Cameras - remember, TT sell their own and won't accept that a better database not sold by them should be enabled. _________________ Dennis
