Well it should be similar to the windows version, just that the way of doing it may differ slightly. The link I posted still explains the basics _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

What exactly do you mean by 'opened the poi package'?
Exactly what have you opened?
What is fr.lproj?
Are you following the guide pointed to by sussamb? |

yes I'm looking at the guide sussamb posted , don't know where fr.lproj appears from ?
I've right clicked on the garmin poi loader and selected show package
contents_CodeSignature
Info.plist
MacOS
PkgInfo
Resources
and again opened the resources folder |

Got me totally flumoxed as well.
No idea what that package is all about.
Whether a Mac or Windows I thought the basic processing was the same.
CSV, BMP, WAV, POIloader, job done. _________________ DashCam:

Why are you doing that? POI Loader is a program that takes the PGPSW files and converts them to a .gpi file that can be read by your Garmin. Please re-read the idiots guide that I linked to above. _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

You don't open POILoader. It's a program or app or whatever you want to call it in Apple Land. You run it, normally done on a PC by double clicking. Run it the same way as you would any program on your Mac.
But before you do that, you have to download a POI database, or the camera database from PGPSW with the .wav voice files.
Have you actually installed POILoader? |

Sox.exe does not need to be changed, it needs to be put in the same folder as the POILoader.exe file. Sorry can't help much. Am not an Apple fanboy.
Follow Kremmen's guide and using his numbering, tell us where you are getting stuck. At least we will then know what you have/haven't achieved.
You need to use a file explorer to find the folder. I think it's called 'Finder' on a Mac. |

Follow with point 2), 3) etc _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |
