mp3 files won't work, you need wav files on all modern Garmin devices. See http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=97158 _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

AHA, that's were I've gone wrong then. I'm glad I remembered that. I may also have another go at enlarging the icons a bit (It was very succesful last time I did that). And if I get tired of the spoken speed warnings, I might revert to the beep beep alert I created from an old B side by The Sweet called "Burning" (it's perfect once you get the volume just right, which for me I think was about 25% of the original, because it's very noticeable even above other sounds in the car but it doesn't have to be very loud). |

you need wav files on the latest models as mp3 doesn't work |

Just to confirm - PGPSW speed cameras are fully functional on my Garmin Driveluxe 50 LMT-D after applying all their updates. |

It took me a while to work out how to get the sounds to go with the corresponding icons. I WAS not following the instructions correctly was my issue. ;)
This was on my DriveLuxe 50 as well. |

That's good to know, thanks for confirming it
@sealion over to you, now we need to help you find what you're doing wrong as it's clear that at least it all works as it should on other devices. _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

The problem still stands though.
We know the 50 range works as they are 2016 models.
It's the 51/61 2017 models that we still don't know about. Until someone here has one we are in the dark.

sealion now has a 2016 model, so the question as to why he can't get it to work when others can still remains ... but he seems to have gone quiet, maybe he's now got it to work too?
Yes, we still need confirmation about the 2017 range and I'm hoping BAVC10 can supply that _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

No I haven't gone quiet because I still get nothing to work.
Please accept that I know what I am doing and having spent nearly an hour and a half to Garmin technical I am no further forward.
I follow the loading instructions to the letter as I have done for years to no avail. The correct settings in the unit have been checked over and over.
I see the camera icons on the map but I get no warnings, bong or voice.
Leaving the question of Audible Proximity Alerts aside for a minute, which by the way has Garmin tech. completely baffled, what exactly do you guys see and/or hear on the screen when approaching a camera position? To ensure I miss nothing my good lady is studying the screen while I am driving. |

tech support from a distance is almost impossible.
Can you do a series of screendumps like my thread so we can see what you've got showing.
Duplicating the first one in my thread showing SOX in place would be useful. _________________ DashCam:

What I've always seen. A visual warning of the camera appearing on the screen with a spoken warning giving me the speed as I use Kremmens convertor. That's on my 50 DriveAssist. The others will no doubt chime in about the DriveLuxe model but I suspect it's the same.
I think you have to accept that since everyone else here can get their 50 versions to work it must be something you're doing differently. Can I suggest you forget whatever you've done in the past and follow Kremmens spoon fed step by step guide linked to above? _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

What has them baffled? Just wonder if the two are connected? _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

sussamb wrote: | A visual warning of the camera appearing on the screen with a spoken warning giving me the speed as I use Kremmens convertor. | In addition to the above, we get a banner popup along the top of the screen showing the camera number and speed. This is the default Garmin popup with 'our' text in it. The exact camera position visual warning that you get will vary depending on the .BMPs loaded. On my system with custom .BMP files it is a square with the speed in it, similar to a roadside speed limit sign. The default Garmin/Cyclops is a blue dot and a fairly quiet beep. If you have been doing it for a long while on Garmin products you will know what it is supposed to do.
It would be good if cottonsocks and toyracer confirmed their devices and the above info as Kremmen, suss and I do not have your device to play with and are really stabbing in the dark. |

If u use mp3 audio you will get no sounds and this reasons audio alerts are greyed out.
Make sure you use wav files.
Ideally connected t to device, backup the points folder the empty it is clean. Now run kremmens software then poi loader.
If you can share your pgpsw file and I'll test it on my driveluxe 50 |
