Montana 600 System Reinstall

Is it possible to reinstall the operating system on the Montana?

I've got a problem, which a reset (hold top left corner while restarting) has failed to cure. The device works OK until I connect it to the PC (to transfer data). When I do the Windows "Safe Remove..." thing, it tells me it's safe to remove the Montana, but when I unplug it, it hangs. It stays showing the USB connection symbol and the power key doesn't work. The only way out that I've found is to briefly remove the battery.

I wonder if my last update (to 7.1) has screwed up and whether there's a way to force it to reinstall the system.

It's a known issue with 7.10 I'm afraid. I suggest you live with it until there is a software update, or revert to an earlier version if you kept a copy of the previous gupdate.gcd file?
