Co-Pilot has an update on Google play but be warned the update reverts the road preferences to the normal NOT YOUR PREVIOUS PREFERENCE so note them before updating.
I'm currently checking the update and I'll drop a notice here if anything else requires action before update. _________________ HUAWEI P30 Pro (new edition) with Speedtrap Alert & alcatel1 for SatNav

Only problem to date is on switching Co-Pilot on again it immediatly offers a map update. So be prepared with time and battery charge/ plug into mains.
I'M uncertain if the update to the UI is worth it. _________________ HUAWEI P30 Pro (new edition) with Speedtrap Alert & alcatel1 for SatNav

I'm certain it isn't - it was a great app before the update.
I've just emailed them to tell them I'm digging out my old TomTom with out-of-date maps.
A case of 'If it ain't broke.......' |

It seems that some people have to load the maps (wife did) but not me. However most people seem to have issues with loading POI's if they need there own category. Thankfully the pocketgpsworld speed cameras still load OK. Support have been in touch with me and tell me that they have raised a ticket and there developers are looking at the POI issue. A work around is that you can add your POI's to an existing category but obviously your POI's would forever be mixed up with POI's in that category (unless you reinstall Copilot I presume).
Seems that the detour feature has gone and you will have to manually customise a route. Dangerous when driving.
Although the ability to navigate to 'location on map' has gone I have discovered that if you click 'search place' then at the top right there is a little map icon. Tap on that and you can zoom, drag and tap on a location as before. |
