I hate Msi BToe. Cant make it working with sp2! Have tryd every singel driver. Its just cant find the device. XP finds it via the build in support. Cant make the MSI program to work and then make a serial connection...
Is the Belkin F8T001_v2 better? Well, its seems to be better. Very good revies in swedish press. and its cheap.
Anyone who have it working without problem with sp2?`

My gut feeling is if you still can't get the MSI BToe to work on your PC you are going to have the same problem with nearly any BT adapter, because it's going to be interfacing with the same BT stack and DLL's that you have on your PC.
I have the BToe working fine on a number of XPSP2 machines here without a problem, so like I've said in the past, I think you've got some problems with either the registry or mixed DLL versions.
It maybe safer to do a wipe down of XP and start from fresh. It's not a nice thing to do, but if you're having problems now, I would think you're going to continue to have the same problems no matter what BT dongle you go for. |
