Can anyone help me with large icons for my Garmin NUVI 2699 LMT-D In 2009 I had laser eye treatment, great, don’t need to wear glasse’s anymore for about 98% of the time. Everything in focus from about 3 feet. Anything closer is not quite focused so I need to wear glasses to look at a computer screen or read. I would like larger icons on my Garmin to make them easy to see, but for some reason I can’t get it to work. I have down loaded the large UK 44x44 speed zoned icons and extracted the files to the camera data base. I then removed all the small BMP files that came with the cameras. All I get is a blue dot where the cameras are. I then restored the small BMP files back and kept the large ones as well. Now I am back to the normal size icon. Am I doing something wrong or wont my Garmin work with the larger ones?
Thank you |

The Garmin does work with the 44's because that's what I use on my 2599.
You must have something not quite right like the naming convention of the 44's or their location. Worth checking everything. _________________ DashCam:

Hello Thank you for that. I am not quite sure what you mean by the naming or location. After I downloaded the large ones, I just extracted them to the folder on my desktop that I had extracted the camera data to. They are all in the same folder. I then removed all the small icons and loaded to my Garmin. I tried twice last night then I put the small BMP icons back, but also kept the large BMPs. The small ones show ok. At the moment, looking at the folder that everything has been extracted to, the large ones do have X2 by the side of them. |

X2 in the filename ?
If so that will be it.
What I mean by the naming convention is this: (ignore the .prev)
The filename before the "." needs to be identical.
When it does work this is 44's on my 2599:
