hi,

I am hoping you can help me as my Camera APP for Android crashes more often than it works.

I thought it was my phone, but it appears it isn't as I just changed to anotehr phone and I have the same problem.

The APP constantly crashes on launch, after about 2-3 attempts I may be lucky enough for it to work.

This happened on my LG G4 and is now happening on a brand new Samsung S7 - all stock FW, not rooted.

I send crash details via Google Play AND from your app, but when I send it from the app, you then send me an email saying that you don't read the emails - what is the point of that? To confirm, this is when pressing the button IN YOUR OWN APP which asks me if I want to inform your team of the issue! I think you need to fix that as well.

"Unfortunately, this email address is an unmonitored mailbox which is unable to receive replies. We're happy to help you with any support questions or concerns you may have."

Anyway, what can I send you to help (apart from the around 200 times I have already submitted crash logs)?

Not that it's any direct help to you, but I have CA running without problems on an S7 edge. What downloaded apps are common to your two phones as it sounds to me it's possibly a clash between CA and another app that you have on both.
Agree about the email reply though. It doesn't inspire confidence does it?

Then pay attention 'powers that be'. It's been like this for quite a while now and this is not the first time ppl have mentioned it.

I sent in my crash logs about 3 years ago. Never heard anything.

Been working fine for years on a number of mobiles, including the past couple of years on my LG g4.

Suddenly crashes on startup, reminds me database out of date and then closes.

As per Wireplay's post from 2016, crash reports sent in from the app are STILL getting the response "Unfortunately, this email address is an unmonitored mailbox which is unable to receive replies."

CamerAlert has got very crashy on Android lately. Just saying.

I have to say I used CA for many years and been very lucky never had a crash report? till now.
well Iv had 5 or 6 in the past few days, but had three four today when trying to run CA on samsung galaxy tap a6. 16GB 4G
As soon as I run it or do any thing in settings it crashed.
and when I send crash report using link puts file in email to you and I get told not delivered? same from my samsung s9plus

I think I've reported this before..... When you report an application crash, the APP sends to an unmonitored address & a reply is received thus:

"Hello,

Unfortunately, this email address is an unmonitored mailbox which is unable to receive replies. We're happy to help you with any support questions or concerns you may have.

For account and subscription related issues, please do not reply to this message. Instead please submit a support ticket via our helpdesk here.

Experienced an application crash? Send us the log!
Why? You won't do anything! For example, CamerAlert does not work with the latest version of Android (11).
