EMail from Garmin

Just had an email from Garmin urging me to do an important software update for my Nuvicam.
First time I've had an email like that, wonder whats so urgent?
Cant find out as I dont have the unit here today.

The latest update showing on there website was back in August:

Improved reliability when paired with an Apple® iPhone® device.
Improved handling when the battery is completely depleted.

Can't see anything urgent :/

I normally get an e-mail from Garmin, notifying me that a new map update is available, a few weeks after it was released and downloaded.

I suspect that your notification fits into the same category.

If you plug the device into your PC then GE should tell you it's status.

I knew I hadnt updated the map but I've never had an email from Garmin to remind me!
It never mentioned the maps. It simply said,

Install this Important software update for Garmin nüviCam

Keep your Garmin nüviCam™ performing optimally by installing this quick and free software update. It only takes a few minutes, and then you’ll be on the road again.

So I imagined it was something urgent!!

The software updated to 3.30

As far as I'm aware, Garmin haven't got my email.

Hope there wasn't a link in there. I distrust and delete all emails with links unless I'm 100% expecting it.
