Hi,
I have a Nuvi 2495 - is there any way of varying the speed camera voice pack warnings please? At the moment they are very loud, but if I lower the sat nav volume then directions etc. become difficult to hear. Thanks

On the Volume screen tap the slider icon top left. You can adjust the master volume and the navigation volume. Between the two you should be able to achieve what you want. _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

I didn't know that either.
I used Adobe Audition to batch alter the volume levels of my wav files to match. _________________ DashCam:

I had to smile when I saw this because my wife starting complaining about the very same thing. I tried turning the volume down but this did not affect the camera warnings (nuvi 2599). I looked around and found the freeware Audacity solution. In this you select all the files as a batch and knock down the volume using their Amplify filter under effects. Initially I have tried -15dB which is much better to her ears. Funnily enough one the variable speed camera warning Andy's first word remains much louder.
I have noticed several unmarked police cars pulling over drivers on the J21 to J16 sections of the M25 recently. Given you hardly see them when there are snarl-ups (almost daily), this seems a bit rich.
I have also plumbed in the official Garmin cable permanently. This works well and also charges an old Tom Tom as they have the same USB mini fitment. The Tom Tom cable does not work the other way around though. |
