I'm happy with Win7 till I update the PC in circa 2019. Then it will be Win10 no doubt but by then there will be improved tools to make it behave and not send out tons of data.
I don't like upgrading PC's unless it's a clean install and I don't see the point. _________________ Satnav:

I upgraded to Win10 some time ago but it was a nightmare, trashing my BIOS/UEFI - I bought a new mo-bo in the end. In Win10's favour, the HDD I transferred from the old mo-bo to the new one eventually worked after about half an hour of re-boots and much patience on my part.
Win 10 now seems pretty stable but the upgrade process was not straightforward enough to let it loose on my Win7 laptop. (MS don't tell you Guest accounts need to be removed and few other things about legacy apps from the likes of Adobe and other, even MSOffice.)
I'd hate to be a corporate IT guy upgrading zillions of PCs.... |

Funnily enough Win10 updated my laptop without any issue, and my daughters notebook. I'm keeping my desktop on Win7 as it works fine and probably won't be replaced when it eventually dies _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

Two desktops, one laptop and a Surface Pro. All updated with no problem. It 'just worked'. |

Today's update to Win10 Anniversary took ages, a huge download, a few reboots and much anxiety while nothing seemed to happen, but all is well. |

I had a slight issue. The update changed a setting requiring my other networked computers to input a password to get access to it, once I'd realised what had happened it was easy enough to change it. Why it happened only MS know _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |
