Cameralert shows more cameras behind than infront

OK, idiot fanboy here. As you know, I don't RTFMs, so I have simply pushed all the buttons I can find and simply cannot find one to Hide cameras behind me.

But I don't understand his problem anyway - my List View has arrows alongside each one listed and for want of reading why, I'm assuming they point at where the camera is. They point every which way and I don't pay them much attention to be honest. It doesn't bother me how long the list is, because I only care when I need to pay attention to them.

I run CamerAlert in List View, but with map set to show Near Cameras (as opposed to Always or Never) so the map pops up ONLY when a camera in front of me comes within range. That's the only time cameras show up for me and seems to solve this issue.

But it begs the question as to why fanboys are missing out on the command. Perhaps us Androids don't really need it anyway.

OF COURSE you need it. Androids worry about stuff (like falling off the edge of the world and stuff) so you need commands to ignore stuff that is irrelevant. Otherwise you'd worry about stuff you don't need to worry about.

Right. Ive been running this for a few more months now and there is definitely an issue.

The app simply will not display any cameras ahead. The first time you actually see anything up ahead is when the warning appears.

Now this is ok for static speed cameras where there is time to adjust your speed. but on the motorway and especially mobile cameras it causes a problem..

I seem to have cameras 180 degrees behind me showing up to 3 miles but nothing at all in the 180 degrees in front of me until a warning shows.. i thought this app worked on the principle of showing cameras 360 degrees around you with the closest camera being at the top of the list and warnings going off on approach at selected ranges

I have my "defualt range" and "range for mobiles" set at maximum to try and get round this issue but as mobile cameras can capture at quite a distance its not great...

Ive had camera alert on my android phone and none of these issues appeared.
In fact there was a toggle switch to turn off the cameras that were behind you. The ios version seems to be missing a few things compared with Android..

And whilst i would love to go back to my HTC phone i have been given an IOS device for work (no choice, had to be apple) and also its a bit impractical to have 2 phones on the dash when running camera alert and Sat nav apps.. (waze etc)

I just seems that the IOS version is missing a few things. Im guessing the IOS uptake on the app was small compared to the android version, or the android version is just easier to work with.

ANy assistance or Staff response / help would be appreciated..
