Welcome to the forum, Baza.

I've deleted your 'Beginners' post to avoid confusion.

Baza
I think you pair the phone to the Garmin and the Garmin to the BT headset. If the phone has paired to the BT headset, it can't connect to the Garmin as well.

Just as a matter of interest and for someone who knows about these things, is it possible to pair ANY headset with the Garmin?

I don't think so.

As posted I think you need a phone as the middle man.

Seems that there are no experts who can answer your question. A quick Google produced THIS (CLICK) which may or may not help.
Let us know how you get on please.

I don't suppose there are any clues in the 2515 manual are there? But I would assume that you have already looked there.
For an 'expert', you need someone who has a Garmin and has linked it to a headset, on this website. I suspect there are not many.

You normally don't need to enter a passkey on compatible products.

It displays a passkey just as confirmation that you are accepting a pairing from the equipment.

It usually displays the passkey on both your phone and the Garmin so you can just click 'Yes' to pair.

Cheers folks, got to say you've all been very patient with me,
but i reckon i'll call it a day on this one,i've come to the conclusion
you cannot pair my headset with my Garmin,it works a treat with
my phone but sat nav no chance,
But on a positive note i'll stick around and try and find a bit more
about the good old GARMIN Nuvi 2515LT
Thanks again all,,,Baza Clap Clap

Old topic I know - but only just found and it was unanswered. Don't know about the specific model mentioned, but my 775t and 765T can do this.

Instructions do vary from headset to headset however. I have a headset which supports A2DP (stereo) and HFP (Handsfree protocol). I think I've paired with both but pair normally with A2DP.

The trick is to put your headset in visible mode for pairing and then search from the Garmin to see rather than the other way around.

I agree, put the headset in pairing mode and then get the Garmin to search for it. Then just enter the passcode (normally 0000 or 1234) and job done.

Both my bike Garmin's connect to my wired headset easily enough via bluetooth and also to the bluetooth unit in the spare helmet so not that difficult.
