Hi, Is it possible to download PocketGPS speed camera database and add it to a Ford SYNC2 system (on a new car that I get next month)?
Thanks a lot, Mike |

No manual as such but it runs on TomTom I understand - the actual system runs off an SD card. |

It depends how modified it is. Also if it is using TomTom as the nav app OR if it's their own software that happens to be using TomTom mapping.

Thanks for your advice. I don't have a manual or know anything about the system as I don't have the car yet. Also, I don't know any details about who manufacturers the Kia system, though I know it is the same as Hyundai. I wonder if anyone has tried it? Thanks, Mike |

MaFt
Just bought a 2015 Mondeo Tatanium from Ford Direct with in built SAT Nav and having a look around this is what I have found up to now.
Comes on a SD card and on the box and also on the card it does say that the SD card is write protected. It does have the write protect slider on the side.
The map software is by TELENAV and the POI's are from Michelin.
The card is FM5T-19H449-FC Europe F4.
xda-developers sound as though they are on the case at first glance.
Time to go and find some more camera's

Right, so it's TELENAV and not TomTom then. Must just be using TomTom maps as opposed to being TomTom navigation.
I'm not aware of any way to get custom POIs onto Telenav though...
