i am offered this update (966.7442) when i plug my XL Live into tomtom home but there it states that the map size for 966.7442 western europe is 2047mb which will not fit onto the 2gb memory within my device although you have the size given as 1872mb.
i had long running sagas with tomtom over the previous update (with countries missing) and the only way i could get what i needed on my tomtom (uk and spain) after much toing and froing with tomtom CS was to download europe west and europe south, but its a pain switching maps as previously (for 4 years of this device's life) i had always managed to have western europe in its entirety as 1 map on my device.
ps XL Live does not have an sd card slot so memory cannot be increased.
You're right Tony, the size is indeed 2047mb & too large for your device. The original "source" of the details of these new 966 maps/coverages etc has removed the sizes so obviously sussed things out themselves.
I wonder what this months v970 maps will be like? Probably similar (too large again) so will likely offer you the zones again!!
