Solly,
In the "POI-Sync" => "POI-Selection" => "Extras" => "Settings", have you the correct login information?
This sounds as if this information has been changed or corrupted. _________________ Beefy

Sorry, but have you ever been able to sync this POI? And how many POI's are you trying to Sync?
Have you checked that the POI still exists on the server that you are trying to sync with?
If it is still there then I would would suggest contacting Markus by email and see if he can help.
My instinct is to de-install and re-install, although this didn't work for me very well so I had to do a Hard Reset and reloaded everything. _________________ Beefy

I have been able to do several synchs and did for a few weeks. When it failed the first time I thought it was the Server as the error indicated. I will have to try a hard reset.
BTW who is Markus? I am using a medion with navigon |

I don't use POI-Sync but have you installed any firewall software on your PC? ZoneAlarm, Norton Internet Security, WinXP SP2? _________________ Darren Griffin |

I have no firewall and have checked and found XP's own firewall is not enabled. I should let you know I used to be able to syn before and it has just stopped over the past 3 weeks. |

Darren, it's not POI-Sync he's using, but POI-Warner's own sync service.
It could be a number of things down to IP block, corrupted POI. You may find it best to delete all POI's on your PPC and re-sync from scratch. |

I have manually deleted all the POIs via the file explorer on the PPC and tried to re-sycn. Still same problem.
What beats me is that it used to work flawlessly until a few weeks ago. |

I think your best bet will be to wait until you get a response back from Markus as he may have seen this happen before. |

Solly,
Have you loaded any new software on you PC or Laptop or PDA in the last three week period?
When you mention you can't sync, can you do ActiveSync?
As I mentioned before POI-Warner went weird with me causing ActiveSync to crash out after a couple of seconds. Although the syncing of the POI's worked fine. The only way I sorted this out was to do a full hard reset and then load everything on again. Soft Resets don't make any difference and de-installing the application and then re-installing doesn't work.
Up to you or you can wait for a response from Markus. I would say that the subject that I sent to Markus started "URGENT RESPONSE REQUIRED". This seemed to get a quick response. _________________ Beefy

Beefy,
I do not remember loading any new stuff on either the PDA or laptop......however i can use activeSync as I use it all the time with AvantGo and Outlook.
I sent another email to markus and will wait a couple days. If all fails I will try a hard reset. Fingers crossed..........and a big thank you for the forums assistance |
