When I purchased my K1's all camera types etc were included, but now they have started to charge for anything apart from the fixed gatso's.
The database was also updated weekly but now its only once a month unless you pay for their Premium database.
My original product said and quote
All Inforad products comes with Free lifetime Database Updates
Lifetime Subscription included with unit
And the user manual said and quote
Certified speed camera zone
Potential mobile speed camera zone
Certified SPECS speed camera zone
A user-defined Point of Interest (POI)
So now they have changed what was in the database for free. Can they do that when they originally included it ? |

If you haven't already, I'd suggest a thorough read of the Ts and Cs that may be in the manual.
How old is your unit?
Have you contacted them? If so what do they say?

If you think that is bad, when I bought my first one back in 2005 I *paid* around £29.99 for Lifetime subscription to the database and then they made it free, and now they want to charge me again.
I seem to recall that this site supplies them with the data?, and if so would rather subscribe to this site.
I am not travelling as much further afield these days, but it still annoys me that the *Lifetime* subscription to the databse can so easily be cancelled.
The have just replaced a faulty V4 of mine ( Ihave the V1, V4 and the mortobike units) and kept ducking the question of my lifetime subscription.
Today the came back with
'You still have access to a free database, including fixed speed camera location. If you want the mobile's one, you have to subscribe' |
