Well this gets weirder. I've just realised (haven't used it much since the update to 5.20) that although my cable works fine traffic is no longer working, at least last night it was grayed out.
Not sure whether this was simply a glitch last night but will test again later today. If it's still not working I'm going to have to revert to 5.10 also _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

That's the problem! The cable is fine (my first thought) but no traffic using 5.20. |

Yet others report that their nuvi says the cable isn't compatible but I don't get that issue _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

Fortunately my 2597 is just a test unit now. When I plugged it into the car the traffic page had the tick in the top box and the message was 'waiting for traffic' or something like that, so I assumed it would eventually pick it up.
Car in the garage so not always the best place to get a traffic signal. Normally, as soon as I drive out of the garage traffic kicks in within seconds.
I would go out and test it again but it's cold out there and I'm a softie. _________________ DashCam:

Braved the cold.....
2597 on 5.20 looks broken as well. TA cable recognised and after a short while it does show 'receiving traffic' and Inrix$ is identified as the provider. Then it stops and says 'looking for update', then goes back to 'receiving' and so the loop continues.
Looking into the Garmin unit traffic app, 'no incidents' reported.
2599, perfectly OK. _________________ DashCam:

Garmin have accepted there is an issue so I suspect we'll see 5.30 quite quickly _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

I am running a 2699 with software version 8.20 and it also tells me that my charging cable isn't compatible. Most people on here are talking about the 5.2 version and the new 5.3 update but what about the 8.2? I have just connected the unit to my mac but it tells me I am up to date. What is the fix for me? |

I expect there'll be a 8.30 for your model series shortly. _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

Just for reference, my 2599 is perfectly OK on 8.20. I was out yesterday and it was receiving correct traffic reports. _________________ DashCam:

Looking at the link, this seems to be only for "nuvi 2xx7 and 2xx8 software version 5.30" (?)
Therefore, Express does not show an update for the nuvi 3598.
My 3598 does not give any error message except that after the 5.20 update, it keeps on searching for a traffic provider, but never finds one.
I feel that the connection to the EcoRoute Accessory has also become a bit iffy; first after the update, the Setup Connection screen came up - then after a while, connected by itself. After that, it connected on boot up, sometimes not.
I reset the connection, but still the same.
