The Burger King and KFC near 55.88259, -3.16813
I submitted them a few days ago. Other POI I submitted last night have been approved. The Burger King and KFC actuall need repositioned slightly but I cant even submit a correction for them as they havent been approved yet.
The cooridnates I have posted in this post are correct. You turn left off the roundabout heading north. KFC on the left, Burger King on the right. They opened very recently. |

Every POI submission is checked to see if it is verifiable. If it can't be straight away, it is more efficient (with limited time), to pass on to the next one, until time permits further checking.
Some can't be verified, but are marked as such when placing in the database (much as a pMobile).
If a POI submission can't be verified on the Map, or with Streetview, there are other sources of information that can be accessed. The companies own web site, the Postcode checker, BT, and so on. It all takes time.
If the information can't be found checking the resources of the internet, the POI will be marked as unverified.
In this instance, after no information being found, they will be added as unverified. _________________ Richard

Well it would be nice if you could just accept them. I've submitted hundreds of POIs to you guys over the years, and these two are very local to me and they just opened. |

Some submissions are not as good as they could be, and as such need verifying. For instance, some were marked as the actual entrance to a supermarket, whwn what's really needed is the entrance to the car park from the road.
Not suggesting that yours are, but all POI submissions are all independently checked for accuracy before they get into the database, much as newly reported cameras are.
This procedure stops a lot of duff info getting into the database, a principle that we are proud of here. |

Appreciated, however I am unable to correct the positioning of these two POIs until you include them. |

Which is why there is a verification process. _________________ Richard

Its obviously not easy to get the location of these places correct, as the OP seems to have got it wrong in the first place. but I find it a bit difficult to understand why he claims to be the only person in the world who knows how to accurately relocate the position of a Burger King and KFC POI location. |

It's his little joke, that's why.
And he wants to finish off these particular POIs, without having them on the waiting list for too long. _________________ nuvi 2599LMT-D, oregon 700, basecamp, memory-map. |

These days you can often use StreetView to accurately Lat/Long some places without the need to take any fancy equipment with you.
Even with new places/POI's you can still accurately pinpoint the entrance on the existing road structure. _________________ DashCam:

Or even use the submission map which will give you an instant lat/lon readout |
