|
|
Hi, I have been using this app for quite some time now and absolutely love it.
Recently I have flashed a ported ROM to my Note 3 device (port from Note 5).
All apps are working fine, however CamerAlert Force Stops as soon as I launch it.
I have tried deleting cache for it and reinstalling it fully, none of which made any difference.
Is there anything else I can try to determine why it crashes? Or perhaps could someone provide an alternative apk file for me?
Any help is much appreciated! |

Does it load up enough to ask you to send the crash logs? |

Thanks for the reply.
It briefly flashes with Black screen where I can notice CamerAlert title and pops with a FC message straight away.
It has an "OK" and "Report" button there, but I believe this submits it to Google, which I have just done. |

It appears the CamerAlert app has not been updated since 2014 and does not seem to be working on any 5.1 Android devices.
Do you by any chance know if there are any plans on updating the app anytime soon to support Lollipop/Marshmallow? |

Never had any problems on Nexus 5 when running 5.1 and 5.1.1 and now 6.0. _________________ Tomtom Go 6200, Tomtom GO Android app, Garmin GPSMap 62stc, Garmin Oregon 450, Memory map V5 & V6, Moto G6, CamerAlert, Copilot Premium, MM Tracker. |

Never had an issue running it on my Galaxy S4 (5.1) and nor on my Xperia Z5 Premium (5.1.1)
As a matter of interest I used to change my ROM on my S4 quite regularly and apart from when I forget to backup the Android ID which forced me to have to re-register the device I can not think of any ROM that it would not run on. _________________ https://share.octopus.energy/dense-raven-261 |

I have now tried this on a number of other 5.1.1 ROMs and can confirm that it works!
Many thanks to everyone's input! |
