I have read, and have tested, that, on iGO8, even though you have set the device to Imperial measurements, the input of vehicle dimension remains in metric, so try inputting the height/length of your truck by a factor of three and try again on a sim route. Metric tonnes and Imperial Tons are pretty much the same, but I can't remember if the weight is in tons/tonnes or lbs/kilos. This may or may not be true of later versions of iGO software. Please let me know if this works or not.

Hi M8TJT
I have tried what you suggested but unfortunately on luck I still keep hitting bridges!

Then I give in? Ask me one on F1 Very Happy Sorry I couldn't help' I did try it on my iGO8 Truck version and it worked. If a bridge was 12ft high, I had to set my vehicle height to at least 36ft.

BTW, there is a 'Post Reply' button at the bottom left of the page. There is no point in 'Quote'ing the message immediately above, it just clutters up the page with unnecessary repeats of stuff.

That'll do the trick. Do you not have an older one? It should still work.

As far as I know the file United_Kingdom_2014.Q4_150302.ftr does not exist in the download sets offered by Noza Tec and similar Chinese brands. I'm surprised that they aren't supplying an alternative .ftr file with new units though as that is bound to cause problems.

I am using the United_Kingdom_83_HERE_2014.Q3_141213_(TI).ftr file with the 150302 set and, as M8TJT says, it works fine.

If you send me your e-mail address in a PM I'll be happy to send it to you as an attachment.

Graham

Without a .ftr file, it won't works. Even then you need the right combination of .ftr and map file. Get on to Nozatec and see if they come up with something as it was sold as a truck device.
What version if iGO do you have on your device Menu~Help~About or somesuch it will be like 9.6.209584. I have that version with some 2013 maps that do work in Truck mode, but it seems that you need a .ftr that matches the map file version. The NQ maps also have the driver alerts in them that the TT maps don't.

It would appear from other forums that the problem of missing .ftr files, and unsuitable files generally, is not confined to Nozatec but affects other brands as well.

Looks like NNG/Naviextras may well have found a way of preventing map sets from being cracked/copied for the time being.

There still seems little excuse for not including the FTR file in their map set (even if it doesn't work)
