Hi Folks,
Can anyone help here ? I have an Oregon 300 which I have recently
uploaded European maps turn by turn, after making up and installing the map info as is my Garmin 550 ...ie the same folders etc...
Yes they work a treat all up and running
Now then I have made and copied the folders onto the Garmin 300 exactly
as they are on the Garmin 550 to install the cyclops speed cameras !! which
in this case do not work
So can anyone suggest which folders to have installed on the Garmin 300 to
have the speed cameras info up and running ?
Many thanks Mack.... |

I don't believe speed cameras will work on that model. _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

Hi Sussamb,
Thanks for your reply, well the reason I ask, as is looking around on the internet I get the impression that the hand held Oregon series
have this ability to do this ...
I will look again and see if I can find the page I came across to double check..
Many thanks Mack... |

Looking at the Compatibility list on this site it seems you could be right, I'd never realised the handhelds could work with speed camera files (note to self, check my Montana and Etrex 20!!).
The folder structure on the handhelds is different to the nuvis though. If it does work I suspect they'd need to be in a folder named Garmin/POI. _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

The PGPSW speed cameras (and PGPSW's ordinary POIs) work just fine in my Oregon 450. The voice warnings do not work, however. You just get a faint beep (together with a warning banner on the screen).
The .gpi files are on my Oregon's SD card, in a folder called Garmin / Poi.

Hi Dales,
Thanks for the info. I will give it a try and move the gpi files to
the SD card and set it up as your system...
Many thanks Mack..... |
