When exiting TomTom Navigator for Palm and shutting down my Tungsten 3 and later powering up everything I cannot re-establish Bluetooth unless I do a soft reset to my Tungsten. Is there a proper power down protocol? Anyone familiar with this problem? I read mention of this in some reviews, is there a solution? I never had this problem in my two years with my Tungsten and Mapopolis Bluetooth. Any suggestions would be appreciated thank-you.

Do you have version 4.12 of Tomtom?

Since I upgraded I have rarely had this problem. I usually switch off the BT receiver then close the TT application on Palm. However, when I leave the BT on and simply go out of range it usualy reconnects fine as long as I have switched off my TT before retrying.

Thank you for your reply, yes I have upgraded to 4.12. I will try your method of taking the Palm out of Bluetoothy range before shutting down. When I do shut off the Bluetooth receiver first my navigator screen does not grey out, even when I turn the Palm off and then on again. On the re-start TomTom will boot to a full color navigation screen at my last known location. Hopefully TomTom will offer a fix in the next update. When I cannot connect to the TomTom receiver my Tungsten cannot connect to my Mapopolis receiver either. It is my opinion there is something in the code that is not releasing the Bluetooth protocol on our Tungstens when we exit the program, thus the need for a soft reset. Thanks again and I will try your solution.
