The App IS directional - i.e. it shouldn't alert to you camera on the other side of the road that "won't affect you" - unless you turn that feature off.
However as some cameras are reversible and the app won't know which way they are facing when you pass and so always alert you.
If you find there is a camera that alerts you when driving past in the other direction and it shouldn't then please let us know which one(s). |

I have a feeling he was referring to 'List View'? Cam's on ether side are shown in the list - although you don't get an alert for them.

So the app is now dead on IOS. Have you given up or are you considering a name change? Can we at least have it available on Cydia for jailbroken devices? |

Although it hasn't been updated since Dec 2013. So we can have no new features or bugfixes added to the app as it is still not being approved by Apple I take it?
Can we not have updated versions made available on Cydia or the APK/Deb files available for download here so we can install without waiting/requiring App Store approval. |

Could this be TomTom's doing? I mean TomTom have made efforts to stop people using your DB from their software so presumably they were not too impressed with you launching a separate app. And of course TomTom have a relationship with Apple. Sounds very fishy to me. |

I was thinking the same thing to be honest, I'm sure I've read somewhere that Apple license mapping data from TomTom for their Apple Maps app. |

Does that mean it's OK in beta 5? We were aware of issues in previous beta's... |

Yes, me too.

Yes in an ideal world, it would be great to use the full screen (especially on a 6s Plus) however in day to day use I don't think that it's that noticeable - I tend to run CamerAlert in the background so rely on the audio not the visual display.
As you will probably know, the last update of CamerAlert that PocketGPSWorld submitted was rejected by Apple as they unilaterally decided that the app, being primarily a speed camera alert, was not permitted. That is despite other apps that do exactly the same continuing to be updated. This is frustrating for everybody here, so I think that the real news is that Apple have actually approved a new update of CamerAlert!

SO does this mean you will be submitting more versions with other features and fixes you have built up over the last couple of years for the app? |

Be great if you could fix the issue with audio being lost after receiving a phone call. This is a great app otherwise. |
