I'd say put it on it on the screen behind the mirror if poss, and with the sound off. |

There was a car on the inside lane that decided to keep up with me so I couldn't actually get past it. You just can't see it in the video as it's just out of shot.

The device logs speed, audio and movement (forward, backward, left, right) so I doubt that position would give much more info. Plus the view would then be obscured by the driver and wouldn't be able to fulfil it's function of recording the road/cars. There would also be possible safety issues with having a hard device behind the driver's head in the case of an accident.
