Can I use these on a Garmin Nuvii 3598?
What is the procedure?
I normally use the POILoder version but don't usually download the voice files. Can I use the voice files?
Someone on the site suggests that triple .bmp files are required in the custom poi database. Is this correct and what are these?
Appreciate any help, for which many thanks in advance. |

I've posted a couple of writeups on these fairly recently. They should help. _________________ DashCam:

Thanks Kremmen.
One further request;
Can you point me at the particular write-ups that you posted?
There is an awful lot of material on the site and it would save me an awful amount of time if I could go directly to the articles.
Thank you once again for your kind reply. |

The latest one is the 'CSV to Garmin' in this subsection. That has most of it.
I'm on a tablet today and links are tricky. _________________ DashCam:

I have a full set of transparent (only the round sign, not the background visible) 44x44 icons but cannot work out how to upload them!
I've emailed them to MaFt. Hopefully they can be uploaded. |

Sounds interesting.
I did my first journey with the 44's yesterday and the larger icons are better as they stand out more. _________________ DashCam:

I can only see one picture and that has no speed icons I can spot. _________________ DashCam:

The 50 sign on the left by Laurel Gardens is a camera icon, not the one for the current speed limit. |

Just converted the background of mine to RGB 255,0,255 and they now have a lovely magenta background. What could possibly go wrong? Or more to the point, what am I doing wrong? |

Are you saving them as a 24 bit .bmp file?. Any higher and they don't work. |

Hi Met.
Not sure about bit depth. Just flood filled the background then saved. Using The Gimp, if it makes ant difference.
Thanks for the link. I'll pop along there in a bit and pick them up. |
