I have been thinking of jumping ship from iGO to TT, but am bewildered by the choice. I know that some will and some won't take PGPSW cams and some have traffic, so I wonder if someone 'in the know' can help me with this to narrow my choices a bit.
I have drawn up a list of those available from Halfords (Not the expensive ones though) and if someone could mark up my list with a 'T' for traffic and a 'P' for PGPSW cams I would appreciate it.
TIA
M8

At least here you can see the specs (to eliminate the non-T versions):- http://www.find-tomtom-deals.co.uk/ and/or http://www.tomtom.com/en_gb/drive/car/products/index.html

Thanks, but those specs don't tell you whether the various models support PGPSW or not, which is my prime concern. Traffic would be a 'nice to have' but not top of my list of must haves.

Hi M8TJT,
I have no personal knowledge of any of the TT's on your list. However, If I were interested in buying one, it would be the Via135. Preferably a Via135 EU-M.
It's the model from your list that most members appear to be satisfied with.. You can Add the PGPSW cams, it doesn't have traffic but i think that you can buy an additional cable for that if required

Of your list, some background history
The Starts - Were brought in towards the end of the Nav2 era (the Nav2s were the last ones which had the features now missing). They were basic and had a simplified menu. Some you could add POI's to, some you couldn't. Nobody knew which was which or how to tell them apart (except possibly Andy_P or dhn). TT then started messing with the OS and it got even more complicated.
Maybe, with the passage of time and various updates they are all standardised now. I don't know, but I wouldn't take the chance.

The GO 60 through to 610. No, as I believe that they are all Nav4 and limit the use of POI's .

The Go live 825? Possibly. I don't know enough about this model to say Yey or Nay. BUT.....

Why be looking at last generation, obsolete models?

Have a look at the current Garmins. They'll do all that you want, A price to fit all purses, even more (confusing) model options, optional lifetime maps and/or traffic if required.

Garmin is the new Black.

M8TJT
If you want live traffic , pgpsw cameras and lifetime mapping then I would have a look at this, it says it's a special edition with free lifetime map updates as well as traffic

I would recommend the 820 and can confirm it works with PGPSW Speed Cameras.

I think that I am going off the idea of TT and tending towards a 5 or 6" Garmin. But thanks for your input guys.

I would recommend the Tom Tom 825 Live and can confirm it works with PGPSW speed cameras and also Live traffic. When I purchased it it came with free map updates for life.
