Hello,
Tomtom GO5000
Have received the answer below for POI addition – But necessary to add the ov2 files one by one into the MyPlaces.
However, they do not show on the map and no way to add a warning sound.
Do you think it is ever going to be possible to put pgps speed camera locations and warnings in to the current Tomtom GO5000 and similar devices ?
Thanks to support in PGPS to look at this and add a note somewhere on your site. Sure a lot of people will want to know.
Kind regards,

Just found this in a question reply on Amazon reply from TomTom staff back in dec 2014
Please be aware none of the current TomTom range have the ability to add third party/custom POI's, however we are expecting to release an update before the end of the year that will introduce the ability to add ability to add third party/custom POI's. So we would suggest one of the new GO 5000 or 6000 as hopefully by the end of the year they will include all the features that you require. |

I'm getting the impression that TT are playing on words to try and boost sales.
From what I'm reading 'Points Of Interest' do seem to be allowed in as much as you can for example setup say commercial premises like restaurant chains or pubs.
What is often meant here by POI's is the speed camera database and that seems to be a big NO in as much as the cameras, to be of any use, need an approach warning and associated sound.
I'm still convinced TT must have signed some exclusivity deal with their own camera provider as they know full well what to do as they used to do it very well with .ogg and .ov2 uploaded by bulk. _________________ DashCam:

You can add a ov2 file to the pnd as it is now. You cannot add a image to display on the map though, but it will display as a dot, not a lot of use if you have several ov2 files, you can't differentiate. You can also navigate to the place you want, but you can't add new places for when you visit a new customer.
I bought a unit when they announced the POI's and sent it back when it didn't do what I wanted, or expected it should be capable of.
