But as we’re losing ad-revenue from this then why not make a donation towards website running costs?. Or you could disable your ad-blocker for this site. We think you’ll find our adverts are not overbearing!

In your opinion, which TT was one of the best.
Past and present TT,
But really looking back to the previous models.
I'm going to say that for use of your own POIs and confidence in backing up the PND then any of the earlier TomTom that use TomTom HOME and none of the later units that use MyDrive Connect.
To see the whole list to determine which TomTom uses Home and which TomTom uses MyDrive Connect have a look at the TomTom web page: What program do I need to update my device?
I use TomTom app on my iPhone as my regular SatNav, but I still have my TomTom 950 Live which I use rarely now, when I do use it it is mainly to capture new POIs.

Thank you,
Really helpful.
And yes, I also agree with the previous post regarding Ebay.
Having once bought a TT1005, (think it was a 1005) and had to return it next day, fills me with little confidence.
I have a 740 Live sitting on charge but unused - waiting to sum up the courage to put it on ebay. Have desk dock, car mount, and other bits, no box. Happy to listen to sensible offers if anyone wants to make such (I hope I'm allowed to post like this here). I moved to iPhone app, but it was working when last used (and I'd check it out of course).
