I have just downloaded the latest speedcams (TTOV2 UK Speedzoned Complete) onto my VIA 135 but appear to have lost the speedcam voices. The direction voice is fine but there are no speedcam voices.
Have I deleted something I shouldn't have? When I click on the downloaded ogg files on my pc they play ok. _________________ Bazzza

Have you Updated your Map recently? The POI 'instructions' are in the MapSettings file, and an Update usually creates a new, basic, file.
Have you checked your settings in 'Warn When Near'? _________________ Richard

Checked "Warn when Near settings" set to "Warn when closer than 300yds".. "Brief spoken warning" needed to be reset for every type of camera.

Thanks Oldboy for getting me up and running just in time to go on a weeks holiday. The Speedcam voices worked fine except for a strange thing; I spent the whole of a 4 hours journey trying to figure out what the voice said. It sounded like "pokipsee uk mobile 60". Looking at the file names it seems she is trying to say "Pocket GPS UK Mobile 60". I have now downloaded the latest cameras but it's still the same. Any clues? _________________ Bazzza

It sounds as if you are using a TTS voice on your unit.
If you are, have you downloaded the OGG files that go with the Camera Files?
If you have, then there is a Select Menu in Warn When Near (the next after the Warn Distance), that has 4 options.
1. Full spoken warning
2. Brief spoken warning
3. Sound effect
4. Type in your own warning.
You need to Select option 3. _________________ Richard

Thanks Oldboy for clearing up the confusion. To the best of my knowledge I am not using TT voices. It certainly is not my intention. Is it possible I am using both. When I do "Add Community Content" it shows OGG files, but not in the files downloaded from PGPS. I have got Option 2, "Brief spoken warning" selected for all the cameras. It still sounds like "pokipsee uk mobile 60". It does sound like a combination of voices. _________________ Bazzza

OK Richard, thanks. Voices ok now. Just one last thing: Can I get rid of the warning tone that precedes the voice warning? _________________ Bazzza

Yes. There are 4 variations of warning voice. Male or Female - with and without preceding chime.
They can be selected/downloaded when you select your camera pack on the Download Page. n.b. Don't use the Download Same Format Option the first time.
You can then replace the existing OGG files with these new ones.
To help you make a selection there are Voice Pack Samples, in the same download frame. _________________ Richard
