Thanks for that link.
Potentially good news. Hopefully TomTom have come to their senses and are producing a product with features their customers want.
They must have lost a fortune in market share over the last few years. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2599

They need to up their game because Which? have rated Garmin higher than TT in their last 2 tests and possibly 3.
The only things that would get me interested is POI's return and a unit with a built in dashcam. _________________ DashCam:

Agreed, I'd like to see a PND with a built in dashcam too ... _________________ Where there's a will ... there's a way. |

Some of the cheaper makes have this already but they don't have the digital traffic.
Means a single power cable and just one unit to remove when parked.
Yes bulkier but I don't care _________________ DashCam:

It'd be nice if the new units fully supported (i.e. create, modify, delete, etc) third party POIs but based on past performance I'm guessing that third party POIs still wont be supported and TomTom will probably even take away other useful/essential functions!

That would be interesting, although a combined unit might be a jack of all trades and master of none.
I like to have my SatNav low down on my dash as near to my speedometer as possible and my dashcam as high as possible in the windscreen. If it was at dash level you'd just seen my vehicle's bonnet!

Sounds just the job
So Garmin must be following my drivel here then
Next question is when (UK) ?
Only drawback seems to be a new type of mount so my bespoke ball dashmount will be obsolete. The pros outweigh the con though. _________________ DashCam:

Available second quarter.
Looks like the ball connector is still in use and it uses a ta cable.
So this looks like I will have a spare 2597 and 2599
I hope you can turn off lane departure and collision warning as presumably both are annoying beeps. _________________ DashCam:

Same here.
I like what I see and read but I need to see the manual and also some owner reviews. _________________ DashCam:
