Click on Itinerary as one of the main options , ie Map, Navigator, Itinerary etc. It will probably say No Itinerary available. Start a new one by clicking on the Add new location at the botom of the screen. Choose the route you want and ensure you get the correct side of a dual carriageway/motorway as necessary.
To save the route, keep your stylus on the Itinerary page and it will give you a save option alng with other useful options.
I have used autoroute and copied a route in across europe using Itinerary, but not managed to transfer an autoroute into the PDA. I have also found Viamichelin an excellent site for European routes.
