|
|
Hi, I love the Cameralert app and use it in conjunction with TomTom for my Android Samsung S3. However, I have the alerts coming from the Samsung speaker and they are too loud when you are driving. The volume cannot be lowered even if I turn the media and system volume on the android down to 0.
What sound stream on the android does Cameralert use on the android for the alert sound.
Even if I go into advance setting and turn the warning sound down to 0, it makes no difference ?
cheers, |

In CameraAlert, go to: Settings / Advanced / Custom Warning Volume _________________ Galaxy Note 4 / TomTom GO : CamerAlert : CoPilot |

Hi, I tried that but it makes no difference, I can mute all the sounds in the galaxy s3 (Media, Alert, System etc.) but the Cameralert alerts still come through loud... |

Are they are coming through the phone speaker? If so surely the phone volume control rocker on the RH side of the phone turns them down. It does on my S5 |

Yes, you would think so but on the S3, even with the volume off the sound still comes through loud. I need the volume on at a level because I have Cameralert set to launch TomTom navigation so to hear the directions I have to have the volume. The problem is that Cameralerts volume comes through much louder
I'm going to try it on another S4 and see if its the same. |

This is really weird. I had an S3 before I got the S5 and it worked OK on that, both the overall volume and I could turn up the CA volume from within CA as well. Not that this exactly helps you though. |

This may be a bit desperate, but how about a clean uninstall of CA. Clear cache, data etc. Then a reinstall, I usually do that when I have funny problems with apps.
Just a thought, but good luck to you. I have an S5 and no problems (touch wood). _________________ Triumph Tbird 1700. And now a Bonnie T100. |
