I really hope some of you can help me with this.
I have been talking to TomTom for months regarding poor Traffic coverage and random, inaccurate, missing and out of date Traffic info.
TomTom have recently started to transmit Traffic via the Vodafone network on 3G, and living in Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk I can obtain virtually no coverage. When it works, a closed road will often show as a short delay, so the device won't re-route you. Often, I've diverted round a jam, only to find myself on the end of a 2 mile queue the device knew nothing about. A local road closure that stretched a mile was posted as 20 miles of the A11 closed, so the device thought it wasn't possible to get from Thetford to Newmarket without a massive and unnecessary diversion. There are days when it shows as connected, but no info is displayed on screen. Roadworks which went on for 2 weeks, with road closures, and not once did the device show it.
What I'm asking for is this. TomTom have asked me to keep an accurate log of issues, so if you have a Go 5000/6000 (an 'Always Connected' device), could you please tell me of an area where you know it doesn't have coverage, and possibly advise whether you have experienced the random and inaccurate info as above.
Currently, in this area, the system is worse than useless, and TomTom need info to put to Vodafone, who insist there's nothing wrong.
Thank you
