I've sent you a pm with the dropbox link for the voice warnings I made.
With cameras analysed by type and by direction and by speed, I have over 100 categories for the UK. So I put them in the root of the folder, to avoid problems with the limit on subcategories (see my post in September, earlier in this thread).

Thanks Krem for a useful bit of software. Once I did exactly what I was told it worked perfectly and now my cheapo Nuvi 40 is doing everything that my farcifully expensive CIC BMW kit can't. |

Just for an update about the above request from dales.
I have been looking at the suggestion to include the direction of the camera in the spoken alert(s) to help overcome the issue with Garmin not being directional.
The changes required would be significant and certainly not something I could achieve in the short term.
I haven't given up but it's on the back burner. _________________ DashCam:

The biggest problem, even if you could hack Garmin's compass code, are these 'white vans' the police are using these days. They're stuffed with more electronics than a U2 and have 360 degree surveillance i.e. it matters not what direction you're traveling in as I found to my cost. |

TBH I don't activate the mobile sites because they are everywhere. I just get alerts for fixed cameras, specs and redlight.
Hacking is not what is needed as ° camera direction is included in one of the downloadable files but not the one I currently use. The speed zoned set uses compas points which do show up on the banner warning. Just means you have to look at it and know which way your facing. _________________ DashCam:

Once you've used it, if you still think a user defined working directory is the way to go I'll work on it. |
I'll go further and say :-
1. The program need some work not least as the file name for the free icons download has changed resulting in the user having to do unnecessary work.
2. The user should be able to define :-
a) the input directory/folder
b) the output/folder, as pouring into a possibly huge documents file like mine is very irritating and requires more work cleaning it out afterwards.
If there is a way to do this already then I apologise but there is no help file to turn to.
c) may I suggest a user editable .ini file to simplify the programming.
Otherwise it's a great program saving a lot of messing around |

You are right in that you already can define the 'working folder' from within the program. You can therefore set the location where you store all your camera files as a one off task. I have mine set to D:/PGPSW/ well away from the C drive.
Next step is to unzip the camera files via the programs utility. What was done was the ability to unzip each of the required elements separately if required. In my case I have already configured my preferred wav and bmp files so all I do is unzip just the camera csv files and then process them through.
Each time I collect an updated set of cameras my procedure is:
1) Download camera zip file to D\PGPSW\
2) Unzip just the csv cameras via program
3) 'Process'
4) Run POILoader
Total time, a couple of minutes.
There is a help file, is it not displaying for you? _________________ DashCam:

The save settings shouldn't be required as it auto saves these when you exit the program.
from memory these are in your own 'User' area then AppData, Kremmen~, Garmin Converter~, 2013~ _________________ DashCam:

Hi there Kremmen, I am new to Garmins this year and just started using your excellent program Garmin CSV to GPX Converter. Having got it all setup all i am missing is the overspeed.wav, I checked your Dropbox link but is not there anymore, is there anywhere else that i can get it from. Latest version:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/5ge91yl7neiulu6/CSV%20to%20GPX%20Installer.zip?dl=0
This is a Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 clickonce application.
Unzip the file into its own unique location/folder then run the setup.exe. If you haven't got Microsoft's dot net v4 then it will prompt you to download it and will provide a single click link to do it.
Once run it will place a shortcut on the desktop but the program will not use Windows Installer but will use the latest VS ClickOnce routine and the program file will go to your own user data area. The install is very quick and it does place the uninstall into the Windows Installer list as normal.
Some AV programs will throw questions about do you want to continue even though I've signed it with the strong name technology. Norton initially queried downloading dot net from Microsoft! _________________ DashCam:

Another update:
After testing the adjacent camera feature I found some of the cameras removed were further away than planned. The maximum distance was 135 yards which I think is too much.
I've found some better code for getting the exact distances between 2 Lat/Long points that is far more accurate.
I've set the default distance as 60 yards as this just exceeds the width of an 8 lane motorway including hard shoulders and central reservation. If 60 yards proves too low then you can adjust it:
