TomTom Go Series POI Trial (at last)

The New TomTom Go series is finally getting there in terms of functionality of what users what and not what TomTom what to give them. Only taken them 18 months!!

They have recently announced a custom POI trial and I wondered if anyone on here managed to successfully sign up for it, and if so, how is it going.

Unfortunately, applications were closed by the time I saw it.

Seems like they are also making sure that it works before releasing it to everyone. That'll make sure that it won't work.

Poi's are now available if you upload them to the new mydrive website and sign your updated tomtom into the site. No option to warn when near so Even though you can upload the ov2 files you cannot give them a warning or assign them an icon. Crying or Very sad

Considering TT used to do this quite well why are they messing around with half hearted user trials with some features missing?

Sounds to me like they have signed some sort of exclusivity deal with whoever supplies the TT camera database. This effort is designed to promote more sales via the stick and carrot method.
