Due to Jesus being born exactly 2,013 years, 362 days ago to the day we're adjusting the release schedule for the next two weeks. Instead of being released on Wednesday they will be released on Tuesday instead.

This gives me chance to do some last minute Christmas shopping on Christmas Eve because, as a male man, I have left it stupidly late again.

Database Releases:
Tuesday 23rd December
Tuesday 30th December
Wednesday 7th January

Have a brilliant Christmas and great new year from all at PocketGPSWorld.com!

I think you mean because the Christians hijacked the mid winter festivals for the celebration of the birth of Christ Wink
Quote:
birth year of Jesus is estimated among modern historians to have been between 7 and 2 BC, the exact month and day of his birth are unknown

Another fun fact - Christmas Eve was actually the evening of Christmas Day - because Christians used start the day at Sunset

Good luck with the shopping - About Shopping

Just goes to prove that modern historians can't be trusted to even read a WI Ladies' calendar - which tells us that Jesus was born 2,013 years and 363 days ago - even I can work that out (although it'll be much easier day after tomorrow when I'll work out that it was 2,014 years exactly).

How can you trust a source that forgets the AD starts at 1 - so it would make it 2012 years and 363 days ago (ignoring leap years & calendar changes) Rolling Eyes

Edit: My arithmetic looks suspect

Look, I didn't do the calendar, I got mine in WH Smith and it says Jesus was born 2,013 years and 363 days ago and it's His birthday day after tomorrow. Just because we are now 2,013 years 363 days after He died doesn't change the facts. You can't just put all those reindeer and elves and Santa out of business with a flick of a few pixels! Stop it!

I really don't understand what's so difficult about it (go get a calendar for yourself, special offer in Boots).

And now you're belittling the ancient tradition of Santa and stuff!

moi? (tries to look innocent Wink)

Any way back to maths if Jesus was born on 25th December 1 AD then he would be 2013 on 25th December 2014

and wrt. calendar WHSmith sold you, they also sell The Sun, Mirror and Mail - so I wouldn't put a lot faith in other things they sell being accurate Rolling Eyes

I thought that was only for school teachers, never really got on with the style. Sadly I don't think any papers are really worth reading any more - the age of the internet comes with a lot of poorly researched news articles.
