I currently have a Nissan Juke with the Connect system, and I am shortly due to pick up a new Juke with Connect 2. This has the ability to show/use some apps on the Connect 2. At present, there are only about 4 apps available I believe - does anyone know what determines how apps become available - I am mainly thinking about the CamerAlert app running directly on my Connect screen - that would be simply brilliant. Is this something the PocketGPSWorld team are able to implement? |

I have a 2014 Quasqai with Connect; you can download the database from here onto a USB and load into the Connect system, and save under My Poi's (see separate post on this forum on what to do); ensure in POI settings in car, that warning beep is turned on.
You can also decide how far in front of camera you want warning.
However, compared to my old TomTom, sound is very muted/ missable.
Some QQ users advise though their cars came with Nissan speed camera database, when they have mated car with their smartphone and logged in online to Connect system on web, the speed cameras are removed by Nissan. _________________ Gel

Hi Peasemore - thanks for the reply. I'm aware of the POI download as I do that currently on my Juke connect. It's the Connect 2 that I was curious about as this has the ability to run some apps (ie the Android CamerAlert app) directly on the Connect 2 system rather than just using the connection to update the POIs.
I suspect that this probably isn't the case if a number of QQ owners have tried to do anything like this. |
