It all works fine but no more. When I link it to to tomtom it does not let me terminate tomtom it just keeps restarting it. The only way to stop it is by uninstalling cameralert. And even when to tomboy is running cameralert will not work. I have emailed support but they don't want to know just saying try the forums. But that is what I thought support was for |

Read through the comments from This Post, and onwards.
It might be of some help with your problem, and explain why this can sometimes happen. _________________ Richard

Hi platelayer.
Can you please explain a little clearer what exactly you are trying to achieve, how you are trying to achieve it and what exactly is the problem. From your first posts, it is a little unclear.
The app is not useless on Android, as many will attest to. It works well in conjunction with Sygic and I'm certain that if people had been having problems with it working alongside TomTom there would have been a lot more comments about it. You will get help here if you are a little more specific.
What do you mean by 'link to TT'? |

Tomtom on its own works fine. When I used to open TomTom via the cameralert it used to work fine and pop up on top of the Tomtom app. Now when I open TomTom via the cameralert app it does not work or popup on top of the Tomtom app. Then when I try to close the TomTom app it continually relaunches itself. The only way to stop TomTom from relaunching is to uninstall the cameralert app or shut down the phone and restart it. It also does not work if it is started separately from TomTom. I havve been using this app for years. So now as far as I am concerned it is now useless. |

Hi. That's better. Sorry I had probs with your first post. I understand your frustration. It would hack me off as well. Just for completeness so that the experts have a chance to replicate the problem, what phone and version of Android are you running on? As 'it used to work', what has changed? Has the app or TT been updated that has caused the problem?
You also say it 'does not work if started separately'. Do you mean running CA as a standalone app in the foreground? If so, what doesn't work about it. Doesn't it load? Doesn't it alert? What? 'Doesn't work' is a bit vague. |

It dosen't matter any more I have bought the TomTom speed camera alerts now, I should have known better in the first place and stuck to the professional system, it's cheaper too. |

Now there's a set of oxymorons if ever you spoke one! I don't know how M8TJT understood the problem - the description didn't seem very helpful to me.
platelayer PLEASE come back and report when you have been running the TomTom cameras for a while and tell us just how professional it is. You see, most of us here think that in this case "professional" means only "paid for", but doesn't cover the performance - accuracy and usefulness. _________________ Dennis
