Hi,

Is the star symbol black, on a yellow background, with a black border? If it is then it’s the default .BMP file if there is no other associated .BMP file with the .OV2 file. Well that’s the case on TTNav on the PDA, so it may be the same for TT GO as well.
You can stop displaying certain POIs and yet still navigate to them. So if you want to lose the stars you can safely switch them off.

yes, it seems these are the asterisks concerned. If i delete all these bitmap files within the postcode files which i downloaded would that be ok. Its only since I put these in that it has happened. We certainly dont need an asterisk whenever a postcode changes en route! |

Hi,
I don’t have TTGO, but in TTNav it is possible to either switch off all POIs or specific POIs by un-ticking the relevant box besides the BMP and name of the POI. This is done in the following menu:
Properties | POI
You can still navigate to a POI whether it’s displayed or not on the map.

Sorry for resurrecting this one again, but is there an alternative to Code Search now that it appears to have been “removed”?
I know I could use Streetmap, but not for the number of postcodes I need to convert! |
