There is a new TomTom promotion offering "upto" £50 cashback on certain devices when purchased from certain retailers.
On the face of it this could make for very competitive prices, however the devil is in the detail and the detail says "upto" but I can't for the life of me find out exactly how much cash back is offered on qualifying models.
Today I picked up a promotional leaflet in Halfords, I've followed the web link provided but nowhere does it state how much cash back is available for each model; again on the TomTom website it simply states "upto £50".
Maybe I'm missing something, has anyone else looked into this promotion to find out exactly what cashback is available??
£50 Cashback is certainly worth looking at but TomTom seem rather unwilling to provide the detail until you have bought a device and can follow the registration process through.
I'm looking at Go 600 which is currently £159 at Halfrauds a cashback on top of that would be quite good. I was told that the reason for the price cut (to £159) is that it is to be discontinued ??? That doesn't make sense ... |

I have just taken advantage of this offer - when I was looking I found the details on the bottom of the sign up page (no need to register). If you look to the bottom of the sign up form you will see:
*By online redemption, terms and conditions apply, click here for full details.
This links to:
https://www.tomtom-promotions.com/cashback/go2014/en-IE/Terms
Where you will find all the details.
Hope it helps. |

Thanks 'baronfloyd' the table you link to is more than I could find.
The list of devices gives a 'euro' rebate, if the numbers are the same for '£ sterling' that is quite good.
I'll spend some more time chasing this up, the Go 600 at £159 in Halfrauds with an additional £30 cashback from TT as well looks like quite a good deal. |

Ooops! My mistake - try this link;
http://www.tomtom-promotions.com/cashback/go2014/en-GB/Terms
If you go to the TomTom cashback offer via the Halfords website (probably via the other valid retailers too) you are asked if you are UK or Ireland. Going throught the UK button will get you to the above address - I was quite some way down the bottle last night when I posted, sorry. |

Took me several attempts to register my cashback claim, kept rejecting it, wouldn't accept my serial number at first, ok now. _________________ Samsung Mega

I was also holding off buying a new device due to the POI issue. The cash rebate plus a couple of deals at Halfords meant that I paid only £165 for a GO 6000. Considering it would cost me £45 for live services and £50ish for map updates in each of my GO 950 lives I figured I would just bite the bullet. |
