If you have the Map Update Service subscription, a newer one -- if available -- should always show when you log in as long as you do within the term of the subscription.
Thanks David, I have free lifetime maps so I should be OK.

... you may now be able to find a cheaper deal with a higher cap or even unlimited data....
Which brings us back to someone like Plusnet.
or JohnLewis Broadband... which uses Plusnet servers dedicated to JohnLewis Customers, with JohnLewis Quality of service... was on a capped service now on unlimited...
just threaten to leave your ISP unless they put you on unlimited service... as long as you are outside your first contract time there is nothing they can do to make you stay...
I noticed that the last map update downloaded much quicker and I have gone nowhere near my limit. So maybe the problem was with TomTom. I have a pretty good deal with Madasafish, £6.25/mnth (50% discount) for Broadband and about £18/mth for phoneline and calls. All in all with vat etc my monthly bill is less than £30. The one fly in the ointment is the low download limit.
Or am I being naive? Can anyone do better? _________________ Bazzza

Fairly easily.
Plusnet Unlimited deal. 3.49 for first year, then 9.99. Line rental 15.95, Anytime calls 5.00.
Comes to £24.44 for first year, then 30.94. There are further deals on cashback sites - Plusnet £35 cashback on Quidco. _________________ TomTom Go 540 - V9.058, Map GB & Ireland 860.3101
