Hi all,
I have a tomtom 135 in the car and I use tomtom android on my old HTC sensation using Bluetooth.
Seeing that I can use the database on 3 devices I was wondering if the database can be used on the via 135 and the HTC.
I was hoping that it would work direct with TT android rather than using a 3rd party program.
I think there are issues with sounds as per this post:
http://www.navitotal.com/android-discussion-f174/tutorial-how-get-the-speedcams-for-working-properly-t14657.html
But can you confirm if the database will work with both systems with sound?
many thanks |

that is indeed 2 devices ( I would probably put it on my android tablet as well)
What my main questions were:
will I be able to get audio alerts with the Via 135? If so do they need programming in as per POI alerts
would the camera alerts work on tomtom android direct and with sound.
I have seen methods that work with the SCDB but wondered if that was require on your database .
I now now that the alerts will work on the tomtom and android but just need to confirm that I can get sound on both
many thanks |

Yes, you can have audible (voice) warnings on the VIA.
And yes, you set them up as per the normal "Warn when near POI" menu (Be warned, it's quite time consuming to do it, if you opt for the full speed-zoned cameras; it takes a good 5-10 minutes of screen tapping, but you should only have to do the set-up once).
I don't use the CamAlert app myself, but I'm 100% sure you get audible/voice warnings on that too ('cos I had to edit all the sound files!) _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |
