Well on checking mydashboard my 2598 LMT-D is asking me to register now, I thought this was done via Garmin Express
If I choose to 'register now' it then tells me to use GE to register it, but where in GE do you do that as thought it was automatic |

That link will just return you to Express. To register delete your device from Express then reassociate it, you're asked at that point if you wish to register it. |

Just about to post exactly the same question, saw the answer so I deleted the device from Express and re-associated it making sure I used the same email I used to sign into myGarmin and now it shows up, thank you. |

Not sure what you mean by tracker settings? |

On my dashboard go to registered devices
Click on details for device then link for tracker details
On my 2390 and the 3598 it gives further info, but for 2598 iit throws up an error. |

Only get device details showing in myDashboard if I connect a device
Only place I can see any 'Details' for devices is in the myProducts tab. Then can't see anything about tracker details. |

on garmin website when logged in on the home section i've clicked 'my registered devices' which takes you to the 'myProducts' tab
on here I see my devices, with only the 2598 LMT-D showing as 'register now' as per the following image
if i choose 'register now' it tells me to use Garmin Express
if i click 'detail's it shows the following
Product details for your device are:
Product name: nüvi® 2598LMT-D
Serial number: xxxxxx
Unit Id: xxxxxx
Tracker ID: xxxxxx
Then 'tracker settings' and if click on it, you get the following message
Quote: | We’re sorry.
Something went wrong, and our site is temporarily unavailable. We’re already working to get things back on course.
You can try refreshing the page or find information about Garmin on these sites: |
Which I know is wrong as it works for the other devices listed
Halfords are going to speak to Garmin for me, as Garmin have not replied to emails, and one from a few weeks ago they've finally replied apologising for the delay and to re-submit it if still having issues. |

Well that's interesting ... I get something like your screen shot but just have Details alongside my 4 devices. No Tracker Settings.
What does it show on the devices where it does work? |

Just gives the following
Tracking Setup
Nickname xxxxxx
This nickname is for your display in your account only; it will not change the nickname on your device display. |

Strange. Wonder why you get that and I don't. No idea what it could be from that info. Another Garmin mystery :-) |

Well Halfords contacted Garmin for me regarding the issues I was experiencing in relation to the registration and the traffic information
They have managed to register the device to my account and Garmin advised that the incorrect information being received for traffic was because the device was not classed as registered on my account.
will see how this now works and that it doesn't think I have a super fast car that can travel 12 miles in 5 minutes
i've also noticed that Garmin have classed the 2598 as purchased on my original purchase date for my 3598 even though halfords fully refunded me for it then charged me for the 2598 |
