Three out of how many? Maybe if iGO was more freely available in the UK their sales would rocket. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property

Very true. Directions at roundabouts and junctions are superb - accurate, clear, precise and displayed all but identically to the gantries. You can't go wrong.
I used it in France, Belgium, Spain, Andorra, Italy and Canada (BC and Alberta) and it's been excellent.
I still have the system, but the setup is too creaky - WinCE/IGO8 running on an old and unstable Mio C320. It takes far too long to boot up and often crashes out without any obvious cause, requiring a full re-boot. (I suppose that's windows for you). I've replaced the Mio's battery twice but the device still discharges far too quickly. It was the hardware that let me down, not IGO8. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2548LMT-D

I should have done that…
I see there's 7" WinCE SatNavs on Ebay for £30. |

Great review - I want to switch from my Tom Tom Go Live 825 as the yearly subscription is £142.
Is your Garmin cheaper for Speed cameras, European maps and Live traffic yearly subscription please? |

There's an annual fee for keeping the location of speed cameras up to date. The most annoying feature is temporary speed reductions at road works, which by there very nature aren't there for long, maybe a few months, but seen to take ages to scroll off the updates.
I think they're updated about 6 times a year, and it costs £17. I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong.
The life time map updates is included in the purchase price, which in my case is Western Europe. There's four updates per year. 2050.10 is the current version.
This model (Nüvi 2548LMT-D) has live traffic info via DAB. It doesn't have Buetooth.
It's still available at Halfords, though I think the offers expire on 6/6/14. Click here. |

I wouldn't bother with the garmin speed cameras ... go for the PGPSW ones as they're updated weekly |
